Wagg & Purr® Atipamezole Injection is a reversal of sedation and analgesia for dogs and cats

Dosage and Administration

Discard unused portion within 6 months of first broaching the vial. For intramuscular injection.

 

Animal  Usage
Dogs Give 5x the medetomidine dose (50-400 μg/kg) intramuscularly. This equates to the same volume as the medetomidine dose.
Cats Give 2.5x the medetomidine dose (125-375 μg/kg) intramuscularly. This equates to half the volume of the medetomidine dose. Wagg & Purr® Atipamezole Injection is absorbed quickly and is generally administered 15-60 minutesafter medetomidine.

Indications

Wagg & Purr® Medetomidine Injection for parenteral use in reversing and abolishing the effects of medetomidine hydrochloride in dogs and cats.

Contraindications

The use of Wagg & Purr® Atipamezole Injection in pregnant animals has not been established and is therefore not recommended.
